Aged in French Oak barrels that have held Australian Tawny for the last 80 years, Sandy Gray Whisky exhibits classic French Oak characteristics of Caramel and Vanilla Bean with individual casks adding their own character.
Our whisky is single malt, single cask and the current stocks are in 25 litre casks and will remain in those casks maturing for a minimum of 30 months. It is only decanted when we deem the whisky to be at it's optimum.

General consensus within the industry is that 20 litre barrels require 2 years, however each barrel is different and we will only release the barrel once we feel it has reached its optimum.
